YEAH!!back from my 1st day of attachment!!it's fun!!!but realli tired now...saw lots of diff cases!!!realli a good exposure!
woke up late this morning!!suppose to meet Jasmine at 7.30..but woke up at 7.10!!!luckily i am staying so so so near!!HAHA!!in the end reach at about 7.45..and was EARLIER than Jasmine!! :D
We were attached to wound dressing room today...saw wounds of diff sizes, diff depth, diff appearance, diff smell<--imagine!! let mi share a few...*pls make sure u are not going to eat after this...or have juz eaten...not going to be responsible for the food tat u puke out!! :D
there's one which i will NEVER forget!!!! this pt, he did a surgery to remove part of his lung..then due to some reasons...the hole was NOT close!!!which means...IT IS OPEN!!!LIKE JUZ A HOLE AT THE THORACIC AREA!!!!still cannot imagine??let mi elaborate further...haHah..the hole is so big and deep...till u can put in ur whole fist!?don't ask mi y it's not close!!!*cuz even the nurses also donno...so this pt got to come back to change his dressing EVERYDAY to prevent infection.and he have been doing this for 5 YEARS!!!!so the nurses will pack his wound with like more than 6 gauzes?!*now can imagine how big it is!!!but the uncle was realli nice...he's realli cheerful also...he say.."life is like tat...some stuffs are fated...so..juz live happily!"maybe a note for all *BE STRONG!!JIAYOU!!STAY HAPPIE!!
tried doing wound dressing for another guy...his wound is at the leg area..this is my first time doing wound dressing on real person...so was beri jing zhang...cuz beri pain mah!!so i was trying my best to be as gentle as possible when i was cleaning it...then the guy who is about my age say..."nurse..don't worry!!JUZ CLEAN!"haHaHA!!!then i was so clumsy..cuz we use a pair of twisers to hold on to the cotton ball to clean..then i held it too tightly...the twisers "PIAK!" and the dirty cotton ball with blood and pus went "PIAK"!!which means..it splattered onto mi?!but it was not visable lah...but..can imagine invisable bacteria around?hAHA!!so went to bathe immediately when i reach home!HAHA!!*will be more careful the next time! :D
umm..guess that's all ba...juz name two distinct ones..HAHa!!
got to do HW~!!haiz...got to present a few case studies on thurs...jia you ba!! :D
